The living room and master bedroom were insulated in 2007. Tom had to pry off the interior tongue and groove boards with a massive crowbar and they broke and splintered into thousands of pieces. Behind the boards was tar paper and open space. In the fall of 2009, in order to do the blower test, he put up OSB on all the walls. This will add to the structural integrity of the walls (they withstood the 1964 earthquake!) and after the new windows are in he’ll put up sheetrock.
That front door is leaving this fall. Hurray! It’s the worst thing about this whole house and no amount of trying to seal it off can stop the wind when it’s blowing.
